I received a copy of the book in exchange for an honest review.

To be honest, I did not expect to like this book this much. I was wrong. Celeste is a wife and a mother who seemingly is living a normal life until her child falls ill. Something about Celeste's past will come to light and rattle the lives of everyone she loves. As her secret is exposed, everything around her seems to be falling apart.

This plot seems to be the same "person hides a secret, secret exposed, lives left in a ramble" But the intricate details surrounding the secret are compelling and so worth the read. The structure of the plot was great and all of the characters involved were very well developed although complex.

This book left quite the impression on me. Everything happens for a reason. Choices are made for a reason. But with those choices and acts, we learn a lesson and have to accept the aftermath that comes with it. Berry's background as a clinical psychologist gives her the creative ideas to write such successful books. I'd love to read more of her work. I give this book 4/5 stars. Great job Dr. Berry!
