Thank you Netgalley for this weird yet fascinating book in exchange for an honest review.

This book doesn't just belong to one genre. It's a perfect mix of about four or five. It was both intense and fascinating. I couldn't quite get into it in the beginning but I slowly started loving it. Especially the fact that the main character might be on the spectrum. Great job Alex!

Plot Summary: This story revolves around Loxley Fiddleback. Loxley is not like many kids her age but she is awesome. It's hard for her to deal her what is her reality but she makes it work. I loved everything about this book and how it was structured. It's hard to believe that this is a debut novel. If Alex's future books are anything like this one, then count me in for the next!

Loxley is quite the character. She's likable, socially awkward, speaks to the dead, and she's a musician. What's not to love about her?

Alex white did a great job with the story. It had a strong foundation that made the story layering just wonderful. This read may not be for everything due to its complexity BUT it is one that I recommend everyone should try to read.

I give this book 4/5 stars! Alex, please write a second book.
