Book Review - The Cabin by Natasha Preston

Natasha Preston became an instant favorite on Wattpad, a place where anyone can create stories for others to read. Her first story was such a hit, it was published! Destiny was not surprised when she found out that Preston was a hit. I, on the other hand, was a little in the dark about what Wattpad really was and decided to try it out myself.

Natasha is quite the YA Mystery writer. Within the first two chapters, you are shocked at the events that occur, leaving you in this twisted guessing game of 'who done it'. I thought this book had some great potential to become a series, following the characters into the next phase of their lives. The characters were good, well-balanced and relatable.

The story focuses on a group of friends trying to figure out who has killed their friends after some partying. They all trust each other, or so they thought until some secrets start to come out questioning if they ever knew who they really were. They all become suspects, while Mackenzie is trying to clear all of their names. What she finds out, is intense and gripping. The end leaves you wanting more and hoping for a second book.

I found this book to be a good read. I gave Preston 3.5/5 stars.
